Get Outta Delaware Park Week 15: Mumford and Sons….HATE HATE HATE

This is the time of the year when many Websites are schilling out their opinions on the best songs of 2010.  I’m a little lazy at the moment to do a list like that, however, so I thought I’d instead take this time to write about one of the most annoying bands of 2010. Mumford and Sons:  Holy balls are these guys terrible.  They are posers, they are kitsch, they are worthless. I was at a party last weekend where they played these guys about 1,000 times and I had to sit there and nod my head and be…

The Perils of Fantasy

It’s about that time of year.  Your fantasy playoffs are starting, or already have started, and hopefully, you are still in them.  There’s probably nothing more frustrating then pouring your heart and soul into collectively gathering the finest crime-free athletes the NFL has to offer, and then watching them produce zero offense in crunch time.  Not their crunch time, your crunch time. I’ve got 3 leagues this year.  2 for money, 1 for free.  Guess which one I’m doing the best in?  Thaaaaaat’s right, the free one.  Infact, I’m 11-2, coming off my  bye week, and Philip Rivers just…

Cliff Lee signs with Philadelphia Phillies

Aaaaand the award for greatest pitching staff of all time goes to? Seriously?  We are going to have Roy Oswalt, Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels, and now Cliff Lee??  I see a double ROYbow. Cliff Lee announced around midnight that he would be signing a 5 year deal with the Philadelphia Phillies.  Somehow we’ve become the Miami Heat of baseball, and the best part is we’ve basically profited from the sadness and disappointment of the New York Yankees. Adam texted me at 5 pm Tuesday afternoon, and mentioned this might happen.  How skeptical we were. I also want to note that Adam destroyed me…

Get Outta Delaware Park Week 14: Girl Talk is Amazing, Werth is a National

First of all, thanks to Randy for filling in last week.  And for having a guy like Rob Mariani on his fantasy football team.  Who is that you ask?  Only the Tennessee Titans return man who got him 27 pts on Thursday.  Yes, cause fantasy should be decided by guys like Rob freakin Mariani!  If Randy beats me, he will have eliminated me from TWO fantasy leagues.  F-That noise. But thanks for filling in. Now, have you heard the new Girl Talk yet?  If not, go get All Day now. I listened to it a while ago and thought,…

Thursday Night Pick

Heyo!  Sorry that I’ve been M.I.A. lately, but after finally finding full time employment, it will be tough to contribute to Theheadrush as much as I have been in the past.  I’ll still make the weekly picks column but now, it’ll go up on Saturday instead of Thursday.  In the meantime, here’s a few quick hits to satiate the millions (cocks head, pauses) AND MILLIONS of Headrush readers: A.) If you haven’t ever read Drew Magary’s dick joke jamboroo on Deadspin, go do yourself a favor and check it out.  It’s what I look forward to every Thursday and…

Get Outta Delaware Park Week 13:Rocky Mountain High

Adam’s a little busy this week to make the picks, so aside from panicking desperately that another blog has woo’d my writer, I’m gonna go ahead and take my attempt at picking the NFL lines. Mind you, I went 1/5 last week and I’ve been in Colorado the past 5 days inhaling rocky mountain air and organic granola burritos, so I can’t be held accountable for the ridiculous amount of money you could lose if you happen to listen to these. So lets gooooooooo. Buffalo +5 over Minnesota – Even though the Vikings won with their new coach last…

Derek Anderson Meltdown Interview

Last night, Derek Anderson was caught laughing on the sidelines as his team was down 18 points.  I don’t get the big deal, but apparently the fans were already upset about it, so a reporter called him out in the post game interview. What ensues is Derek Anderson rage screaming his passion for the game. This video won’t probably last long on youtube, but I’ll be searching for a permanent version.
