Last Word on Iguodala

This is it, after this, I will no longer be posting about Andre Iguodala.  But I had to post about last night. Here’s what happened. Sixers down by 3.  Time expiring.  Iggy shoots a three.  Misses BUT gets fouled.  Awesome.  He hits the first one.  Hits the second one.  And then… CLANK! Misses the third one.  Misses a chance to tie the game.  Then, with the Sixers still down THREE mind you and with even less time left in the game (about 11 seconds) he gets the ball and shoots a TWO point jump shot that again clanks off…

The Sixers Blow…another game

That seemed impossible.  Up 4 with 20 seconds to play, I thought for sure the Sixers had the game in the bag.  But then, of course, they blew it. Mark Zumoff said something like this right before the final Magic play of regulation, “Well, the Sixers are up 4 with 20 seconds left to play…you would think they’re gonna win unless the unthinkable happens and they foul someone taking a three pointer.” Aaaaaaaand….guess what happened?  THAT!  EXACTLY THAT! Andre “I am the biggest idiot and the worst 80 million dollar player ever” Iguodala tries to follow his man, puts…

The Original King of Comedy

Gah! Just look at that picture…I hope you weren’t eating. Louis CK, Chris Rock, Daniel Tosh…these men have one thing in common: They are comedians.  Good ones.  Great ones.  But unfortunately for them, they have nothing on this man: Al Davis. Holy God was yesterday’s press conference a thing of comedic beauty.  It lasted from 4:15 until about 6 p.m.  I don’t know if any comedian except Cosby can go for that long.  And it wasn’t just the length, it was the material.  Davis kept me constantly bagging up the entire time. Whether it be from his rancid yellow…

Playoffs! Playoffs! Playoffs! Playoffs!

Look, I’m not excited for these playoffs.  I never am.  My team made it until Week 16 until they inevitable crapped out of the picture so that made the end of the year a little bit more fun…but come on. Brady. Roethlisberger. Manning.  Blah, blah and blah.  F those guys.  Especially the large hamburger headed newly betrothed gentleman in the middle (even though he does contribute to this very site every once in a while). I am sick of these clowns.  I want some fresh blood.  Your Vick’s (no blood pun intended), Rodgers”’sss and Cutler’s. Sure they’ve all been…

Sixers Win!

Hooray!  So I went to the Sixers game last night, thanks to birthday tickets from my lady, and boy oh boy was it a fun experience.  Not only did I get to witness the rare act of the Sixers actually winning, but I also got to see my favorite Kentucky player from last year and this year’s number one overall pick: John Wall. Live. In person! Of course, John Wall got ABUSED by Jrue Holiday (His stats look OK cause he padded them in the 4th when the Sixers were up by double digits, but Jrue peed on him),…

Tom Cable…You’re FIRED!

Al Davis fired Tom Cable today, or maybe it was yesterday, but since I saw the news this morning, I’ll assume that it was today.  And what is my reaction as a life-long Raider fan who just experienced the thrill of an 8-8 (EIGHT AND EIGHT!) season? Eh. I don’t really care.  A shrug of the shoulders.  The reason?  Tom Cable cost the Raiders a victory over Miami when he started Bruce Gradkowski over Jason Campbell. Tom Cable absolutely sucked last year as an offensive coordinator.  Tom Cable was not going to out-scheme a coach like Tomlin or Belichick…

Get Outta Delaware Park Week 17: This is the End

Boomer: Jim Morrison once sang, “This is the end, my only friend. The end.”  We’ll be back with the blitz. I don’t know if Berman has said that yet on ESPN, but if not, I bet he says it at some point this weekend. It’s the end of the line for most of us NFL fans.  Panthers, Raiders, Vikings…you root for an NFL team and chances are that you’re either waiting for next week’s playoff games or waiting for the April draft.  Only a handful of people will give a shit about the games today, and that’s why week…
