Fantasy Baseball is No Longer a Fantasy

It’s a nightmare. I remember watching the ESPN 30 for 30 about the start of fantasy baseball, and they made it sound so cool and neat. Our league (seen above) is turning out pretty nice actually. Aside from our buddy Sweede dropping Brandon Marrow and Chase Utley instead of putting them on the DL slots given, it’s been a pretty tight race. Start the Season with a Sweep

It’s been a great start so far. The Phillies swept the Astros in a 3 game series this weekend, Domonic Brown had a very encouraging walk off HR after a 2 run 9th inning rally opening day, and all our pitchers looked incredible, as they should. The offense that everyone worried to be too old still managed to drive in plenty of runs. Somehow… things are right with the universe. But let’s not get too carried away. It was the Astros, and there’s still 159 games left. We finished up the 2011 fantasy baseball draft yesterday. I’m happy with…
