About That Whole Vincent Jackson Thing…

Alright, so if anyone recalls I basically stated that Vincent Jackson, the Pro Bowl San Diego Chargers receiver was headed to Seattle this year.   You can see that here.  The article posted August 13th. It is now August 28th and nothing has come of it yet.  Earlier today though, I finally managed to find something on the subject that WASN’T the Minnesota Vikings turning down Jackson’s alleged $50 million dollar contract demand.  This is turning out to be false. What the post does say is that Vincent Jackon’s restricted free agency limits who he is allowed to talk to,…

Tony Dungy, I’m So Puzzled By You

Obviously in the past few weeks people have been hearing the big “controversy” of Tony Dungy and his criticism of Rex Ryan’s coaching methods.  Dungy has made it a point to call out Rex Ryan on the use of profanity in his training sessions and airing it on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” show where people are exposed to the vulgar words.   In what he calls a ‘not personal’ attack on Rex Ryan, Dungy explains how he wouldn’t give Ryan a job based on his constant use of the ‘F’ word, repeatedly saying it’s unnecessary and that the NFL commissioner should…

It’s almost time for fantasy football, and that means that your fantasy baseball playoffs are coming real soon.  Are you in?  Did your team hold up against the DL fest that was the 2010 season? Vincent Jackson traded to Seattle Seahawks

Today, I finally get to do my best Adam Shefter impersonation.  “Sources” tell me that the hold out from 3 San Diego Chargers players are going to result in a few different outcomes, one of them being Vincent Jackson getting traded to Seattle. Shawne Merriman has already arrived at camp after signing his restricted free agent tender, so he’s going to remain on the Chargers roster, but from the personal information I’ve gathered, he will not be accompanied by Pro-Bowl receiver Vincent Jackson. “Sources” tell me that Jackson is going to resign with the San Diego and then immediately…

Some Helpful Tips for Tiger Woods…

We all watched Tiger Woods crash and burn this weekend, shooting his career worst 18 over par in 72 holes.  Bogeys, double bogeys, missing putts from 4-5 yards away, hitting people in the stands…. it was awful to watch.  What’s even sadder is that his scorecard still looked amazingly better than my typical scorecard… but alas, I think I’ve created a couple great tips for him to get ‘his groove back.’ 1. Tiger should be able to punch any person spectating the round. – If he truly is the greatest golfer in the world, any fan would be pleased…

Who’s this guy Brett Favre?

Shame on you ESPN.  This is just poor journalism.  For what I would call a good majority of the day yesterday, ESPN covered a story saying that Brett Favre sent texts to fellow teammates announcing his retirement. They covered this story for at least 6 hours.  Every interview they had with anyone relevant to the sport “had not confirmed this story” but yet they ran this same story all day, breaking down new Vikings QB scenarios, and recapping Brett Favre’s entire career. So the next day, I turn on my Sportscenter, and ESPN is running a story that these…
