Dwight Howard Dunks on Jrue Holiday

Well, in case you haven’t seen it, this is footage of Dwight Howard dunking all over Jrue Holiday at the Wells Fargo Center on Monday, April 11th, 2011. Please excuse ESPN’s weird taste in music. To add insult to injury, this is Dwight talking about the dunk after the game. Man, that sucks. Nice way of taking the high road Dwight. You’re never going to win an NBA Championship though, so… fuck you. How’s that?

Charlie Villanueva & Cavaliers’ Ryan Hollins Fight

Haha, it’s a lazy rainy Tuesday. Found this gem posted on youtube. Don’t know why the music is as weird as it is… but oh well. Best comment on youtube : Charlie’s hairlessness makes him very slippery. He’s like an earth dolphin or something. – antoniorossiz Good one.

Do You Know Who I Am? Yes, You’re Allen Iverson.

It’s been a year and a half since Allen Iverson took the court wearing a Philadelphia 76ers jersey. What many thought would be a long tenure that would eventually lead into retirement and the NBA Hall of Fame has now turned into a sad downward spiral of bizarre behavior and poor decision making. Since Stephen A. Smith publicly criticized Allen Iverson for having a gambling and drinking problem back in March 2010, Iverson has done everything he possibly could to live up to that speculation. After a very weird, very abrupt departure from the 76ers last year, Iverson went…

It All Looks Downhill From Here

Ugh. My first pessimistic 76ers post in 4 months. It’s right before playoff time and things could possibly be in turmoil. Lou Williams, arguably the heart and soul of the Sixers locker room, is out for the foreseeable future with a hamstring injury. After an MRI on Sunday, it was reported that his injury was more serious than initially assessed and no one has given a time frame for his return. In response to the injury, the 76ers signed this guy, Antonio Daniels. Don’t know who he is? Most people don’t. But he’s been an NBA player on 7…

Start the Season with a Sweep

It’s been a great start so far. The Phillies swept the Astros in a 3 game series this weekend, Domonic Brown had a very encouraging walk off HR after a 2 run 9th inning rally opening day, and all our pitchers looked incredible, as they should. The offense that everyone worried to be too old still managed to drive in plenty of runs. Somehow… things are right with the universe. But let’s not get too carried away. It was the Astros, and there’s still 159 games left. We finished up the 2011 fantasy baseball draft yesterday. I’m happy with…

Bring the King. Off With His Head!!

Well, it’s Friday. 6 days to go until opening day, and things have gotten worse. Chase Utley has officially been moved to the DL, Brad Lidge has been moved to the DL, Cole Hamels got lit up yesterday, Roy Oswalt got beaned in the head with a ball and is recovering…. It wouldn’t be a typical Phillies season without some drama. The Braves look amazing, and although people have been doing nothing but talking shit on the Mets (like me), they look pretty good so far too. Every analyst keeps showing concern for the offensive voids in the lineup,…
